Apparent Power Relay MRP2-S3

Opposite to other countries, where the power protection is usually based on the measurement of active power, in Portugal and also in parts of Spain, it is common practice to measure the apparent power. To conform to these requirements, i.e. to be able to offer a suitable protection device to its’ customers, SEG designed the HTL Apparent Power Relay MRP2-S3.

Characteristic features of the Apparent Power Relay MRP2-S3 are:

· star-connection or delta-connection of voltage transformers,

· two adjustable switching points for over capacity ,

· two adjustable switching points for under capacity,

· circuit breaker failure protection,

· output relays to be freely assigned,

· blocking function to be freely assigned,

· storage of tripping values and breaking times of eight fault events,

· facility of serial data exchange via RS485 interface, optional with SEG
ProOpenData Protocol or Modbus Protocol.
